One the most historic buildings in Utah was recently earth quake reinforced. Steel beams were placed in the building to strengthen the structure and to ensure its long term survival. During this process, parts of some of the wood beams were remove. Fortunately, a fellow flute enthusiast was able to save some of this wood. There is not much, and much of it is quite distressed. However, this is wood that has been part of a place of worship for over 150 years now with songs of praise vibrating it.

I am going to try to hang on to this wood for as long as I can. So we will only be making a few of flutes from it each year.

This is the first of such flutes to be made available. It is a resonant instrument with a wonderful vibration.
